KIWI Shoe and Boot Patch (Also available: PENGUIN SHOE GOO CLEAR , & PENGUIN SHOE GOO BLACK) repairs holes, tears, and worn spots. Great on athletic shoes, boots, rubber, leather, vinyl, and canvas articles. Other uses: Repairs holes and leaks in hip boots, waders, and wet suits. Repairs tents, rain gear, parkas, fabric, automobile vinyl tops, luggage, and plastic or leather upholstery. Net weight: 4 Oz.
Directions:
1. Rough up the areas to be repaired with wire brush, sandpaper, or file. 2. Puncture tube seal with point in cap. 3. Squeeze Athletic Shoe and Boot Patch directly onto area to be repaired. Use a well ventillated area away from heat and flame. Do not use while smoking. Apply generously and use the enclose stick to spread in a thick layer. Extend application well beyond worn areas. 4. Allow to dry overnight. Very thick coats take 2 to 3 days to dry. 5. A second coating may be desirable, especially if worn area is large or deep. 6. To protect new shoes, apply coat to parts of sole exposed to extra wear.

- Remove any dirt or grease from the surface of the sole. If wax or sealer is present, use a mild solvent to remove as much as possible. Rough up area with wire brush, sand paper, or file. Important: The surface fibers must be open in order for Athletic Shoe and Boot Patch to adhere.
- Use point in cap to puncture seal in tube. Squeeze product directly onto the area to be repaired. Use in a well-ventilated area away from heat and flame. Do not use while smoking. Apply generously and spread over the worn area utilizing the spreader stick. Extend the application beyond the worn area. Allow to dry overnight.
- Extra protection for new shoes can be obtained by making a grid pattern on the bottom of the sole and heels.
- To guard against tennis toe, apply a generous amount of Athletic Shoe and Boot Patch to the toe area of your shoes.
- Seams and welts can be protected and be made waterproof on athletic shoes and boots by applying a thin bead along the stitching.
- Holes that are worn all the way through can be patched by using a reinforcing material such as cloth or plastic mesh to bridge the hole. Then, cover the material on both sides with Athletic Shoe and Boot Patch.
