I have two cedar shoe trees purchased for dress shoes that I          purchased in 2001.  As an old military man, I always use Johnson's KIWI paste wax on all my shoes.  I am serious about how my shoes look.

I have a lot of shoes - over 25 pairs the last time I looked - and every one has Washburn shoe trees in them. Aside from regularly polishing your shoes, nothing else does more to keep them looking new as they get older.
