This vamp raiser did the trick for me (along with using the boot stretcher spray.)  I was unable to wear my cowboy boots because of foot pain across the top of my arch.  This tool is VERY sturdy.  I was able to really 'crank' it to get the stretch i wanted and it worked great.  I'd tried cheaper versions which literally broke the first time I tried to use them.  This stretcher is expensive, but it's saved me hundreds of dollars and failed purchases by fixing them all for me.  I highly recommend it!

So glad I did not waste time and money on the plastic stuff and went straight to this heavy duty tool.  I wear size 11EEE and have very high instep.  This tool stretched the boot perfectly.  It is very strong and sturdy.  All around A+++
